Our Founder

A founder who lived it.

Hugo is a father, acclaimed traveler, and storyteller whose journeys — across continents and through life's profound transformations — shaped a powerful message about what truly matters.

Rising from poverty to achieve the conventional markers of success, Hugo discovered that life's greatest wealth can't be measured in material terms. Over his career he's been an Olympian, a middle-school principal, a college basketball coach, and an entrepreneur who has owned several multi-million-dollar startup companies — in pharmaceuticals, automotive, and commercial cleaning, among others.

His path taught him that real education transcends diplomas and degrees: it's about unlocking the mind's potential and bringing one's deepest aspirations to life. Today he shares his hard-won insights, candid missteps, and transformative adventures with audiences searching for more than motivation — they're searching for truth.

What we stand for

Six values we make decisions by.

Child First, Always
A child's safety and wellbeing outrank every other priority. Background checks, the two-adult rule, and never cutting a safety corner — no exceptions.
Show Up Consistently
Kids who've been let down need adults who keep coming back. We ask mentors for a 9–12 month minimum, because reliability isn't a feature of the program — it is the program.
Dignity, Not Pity
We serve from respect, never shame. These kids are full of potential, not problems. We start by asking what they want to become.
Proof Over Promises
We measure what we do and tell the truth about it — wins and misses. Every program has a metric, and the results get published.
Built to Last
We steward every dollar and every ounce of trust as if it has to outlive us — strong controls, a real board, and reserves before scale.
Better Together
Families, schools, churches, and communities raise children. We partner; we don't replace.
